Tongue

So I went ahead and got my tongue pierced. I've wanted it done since my sister got hers when we were 18, but I was too chicken shit. I asked the piercer if the pain was worse then a nipple piercing, he said no. I was still pretty nervous but just sucked up and did it. It sucked, it sucks now but it'll be worth it. Here's one of the videos I watched prior to getting it done....this is why I was SOOO worked up haha...

"You can't be picky with friends right now"

Something Nick told me after I explained that something was off about the couple we befriended in our apartment complex. Yes, it's nice having friends who live so close BUT I was more than accurate with my assumptions. I can read people, and am pretty good at weeding out the creeps, extreme weirdos (I love normal weirdos), liars, and especially the fakes.

Last night is so blog-worthy I had dreams of writing about it.

Alright, maybe I should start from our first encounter. We went to the pool about 3 weeks ago, had some drinks...a few people got drunk (not me bc I was watching Pieter). Of course the more alcohol they consumed the more they opened up. I found out that he is 30 and she is 18. 18!!! Okay, my little sister is 20 and when I found out she was seeing a 32 year old I wanted to beat the crap out of him. I do understand that if it's meant to be it's meant to be, but 12 years age difference?? After a few more glasses of wine she told me I need to find God, to let him into my life. These people JUST met me. How would they know if I have God in my life or not? I believe in God. I believe in Jesus. I used to go to church (mostly for the hot boyz...but I did learn things too).

Our second meeting we went out for dinner and a movie. I mentioned it in a past blog but left out all the juicy details because there was a chance they could read it. The walk there was fun...but after they (remember she's 18) knocked back a few at Ruby Tuesdays the conversation turned incredibly uncomfortable for Nick and I. Something about her dad dying and her turning to a 40 year old man from Sugardaddy.com. He was curious why her phone "suddenly started working again." He called her out, she went to the bathroom for 10 minutes. I went in to find her reapplying her makeup after she had obviously been crying. He apologized to us for being rude, but I couldn't get over how uncomfortable I was. I left the movie early. I told Nick after he made it home that I just couldn't be friends with them...that I got a horrendously bad vibe from the two.

Last night was supposed to be fun and it was, until about 11:30. I like her drunk...except for the preaching. I'm down to hear people's stories about how they found God and stuff, but do NOT force that shit on people. She's 18 boning a 30 year old, she drinks at 18, she talks about making out with girls...she's not perfect, but she preaches to me like she is. He's the same, but he doesn't do it until he's so far gone we can't make out half of what he's saying. She made a drunken comment...well actually she asked Nick and I a personal question and he (her man) went NUTS. I've never seen what I saw. He was smiling/crying/yelling at the same time. He told her she wasn't the one he was going to marry, that he should just go back to his ex. I don't think she her the ex part. He left the house, came back, left, came back and everytime asked her if she was coming. I didn't feel comfortable with her going. I felt like something bad would happen. I made her stay till about 1am.

The last time he came back up he convinced her to follow him home. I felt uneasy about it, but I knew I had no right to stop her if she wanted to go. About 10 minutes later I heard him yelling at her outside our apartment. Nick went down to see why they were coming back (keep in mind my son was asleep...and her man was LOUD) and I overheard her cry, "why did you have to hit me!" I had her come back up and asked her if he's hit her before...apparently he's got a domestic abuse charge on him from a few weeks ago. After calming her down and Nick calming him down they went home again.

We've randomly had the fire alarm pulled a few times in the complex...always super late at night. All the tenants are evacuated and all apartments are cleared by the fire department each time. It typically takes about an hour. Turns out he pulls the fire alarm. He pulls it when he's drunk and furious with her then kicks her out of the house. She has no where to go. Last night he did it again and she came over here. I called 911. Cops came, firetrucks came, everyone was evacuated and PISSED bc it was now 2am. I told the fire department who it was and everyone was allowed to go back in .

She stayed here until the cops offered to escort her back to the house. They weren't able to find him...and that's the last I've heard.

Throughout all the yelling, crying, sirens, and cop knocks my son managed to sleep through the entire event....thank God...

Also, Nick and I have decided to no longer let them in our house. I don't feel comfortable with emotionally unstable people in the same vicinity as my son...his dad was enough for me.

Update: He was arrested. Found hiding in a bush. He threw down, resisted arrest. They were kicked out 3 days later. Fucking weirdos.

My beautiful boy...

I'm not sure if Pieter's father reads this...my guess is no. I've held back from mentioning him in this blog just in case, but at this point I don't really care. There's so much I want to write but I just don't know where to begin. I feel like I've wasted 3.5 years of my life, but I will NEVER regret having my son EVER. He's my world. I feel like I was, and still am, his mother and his father. Don't get me wrong, Chris was a good dad...when he chose to be. He definitely didn't give him all the attention he needed. Yes he worked, as did I. I worked from 11:30pm to 8am every night. I slept when Pieter napped or when Shirley was having a good night and was actually able to sleep. On average I slept 5 hours a day/night and not consistently. I was exhausted for over a year. On top of the job and taking care of Pieter I was also expected to clean, do laundry, and make sure Chris was always happy. I felt like I was stuck. I ate. I got HUGE. Chris somehow convinced me I would never do better, so I just dealt with it.

(I'm not in the mood to go into any sort of detail...too much to say...but let me sum it up with a few words in regards to what I had to go through...abortion/attempted suicide(him)/Mental ward in Nebraska(where I put him)/physical and mental attacks/being held down/guilted for hours until I gave in/knocked up for the 2nd time/did any and everything with no help/cops called multiple times by neighbors/Pieter too scared to talk/more suicide threats/refusing to let me and Pieter out of the car/tried to hit me with his car when I drove away/more suicide threats.)

I felt stuck until Jere suggested we all move in together. I was so excited because finally, F-I-N-A-L-L-Y, I could see myself escaping. Someone else was going to see what I saw. I said yes immediately whereas Chris was not for it at all...and for obvious reasons. I wanted someone else to experience the Chris I had to deal with daily.

Jere got to meet the Chris I knew almost immediately. The lazy Chris. The one who didn't think parenting was a job. The one who came home from work after a 4 hour day and sat on his ass playing video games instead of helping me raise my son (and I will always refer to him as MY son...he's always just been mine). It didn't take long for Jere and Trish to witness his anger issues either. I knew it was time to kick him out when he didn't strap Pieter into his booster chair properly. Pieter's chair was on a counter height barstool...with a back...so it was pretty high off the ground. I walked around the counter and watched my son fall, still strapped in his chair, to the ground. He bit entirely through his lip. Where was Chris? Standing next to him YELLING. I picked Pieter up and calmed him down while Chris proceeded to take the booster chair and throw it as hard as he could while blaming me for the whole event. Trish was shocked. I was scared for Pieter. He ended up being fine and I kicked Chris's ass out 2 days later.

Anyway, regardless of our split he should still try and be a father. He doesn't even fight to see him or talk to him. Fine with me...but I just don't get it.

Also, if you are reading this...PAY YOUR FUCKING CHILD SUPPORT!

I end this with some older pictures and a video of my little man. He's the most gorgeous baby I've ever seen :-)

PMSing sucks.

It's good thing I have something to blame my behaviors/feelings on. I go from crying to pissed off in seconds. I feel as if things don't go exactly how I'd like them to I'm going to end up murdering someone...well at the most threaten it. I want to say I feel bad for Nick for having to put up with me...but I'm in a bad mood so fuck that. I feel like I'm stuck in this house all day because a) I don't have my car and b)it's 500 degrees outside. I used to walk every single day and now I simply can't. I wanted to visit the gym early this morning but was unable to because my son got up at 3am and refused to go back to sleep till 5am. Bleh....can someone just come to my house and amputate all the fat on my body, please? I'll be your best friend :-)

Busy weekend.

I haven't really been in the blog writing mood the past few days. We spent a lot of time outside the apartment this weekend . Saturday we woke up and went straight to the pool at 9am. Right after we went to Bee City to pet some animals and have a cheap, but yummy lunch. Instead of going straight home we decided to make another visit to the Mangolia Gardens and Swamp. I've decided I LOVE that place. We walked around for about an hour and I got some great pictures. Following that we had Leslie come over to watch Pieter while Nick and I met up with Sarah and Jason for dinner and a movie.

We had a few drinks prior to dinner and walked over to Ruby Tuesdays. Dinner was good and I washed it down with a weak Long Island Iced Tea. We finished and walked over to the theater to see Bruno. Wasn't a fan so I left mid movie. It's nice living so close to everything. Leaving early gave me a chance to talk to Leslie some, so that was nice.

Yesterday we went to check out Sullivan's Island and hung out at the beach for a few hours. It was a pretty nice beach but a bit of a drive from the house. Pieter loved it as usual, me not so much. I get a bit stressed out with Pieter and the ocean...he doesn't realize he can't swim. We left around 1ish and headed to the grocery store to get some food for the BBQ we had last night.

Last night was probably the most fun I've had since moving here. Dinner was awesome. Both Nick and Jay made ribs...Nick's were marinated for a day and BBQ'd and Jay's were cooked super slow in the oven. Both were really good. Jay also made hush puppies for the first time and did a pretty good job. Pieter's new friend came down and entertained him the entire time (so I was able to relax a bit). Jay and Sarah came over to play some video games afterwards so Pieter didn't go to bed till 10:30 last night. My little man slept an entire 12 hours...I think this weekend knocked him out :-)

Stupid cat lady.

So, I finally decided to stand up for myself. I tend to let people walk all over me, and sometimes I just can't let it fucking go. Here's the email I wrote to the evil drugged up cat lady 11 miles outside of Summerville. (If anyone feels the need to just bitch out someone, email me and I'll give you her number/email/address whatever you prefer ;-)

Hey Conny,

I apologize again. I was in no way trying to screw you over and I'm in no way a thoughtless person. I'm also far from cowardly. I figured since you posted an ad on Craigslist you would check periodically to see if anyone emailed in regards to the cats. I certainly thought you would check before the following morning and assumed so because you were so desperate to give these wild animals away you didn't even care about my child's well being. To be quite frank you screwed yourself over by telling me your cat would "put my son in his place." Let me just say, I'm not willing to bring a feline into my home that's going to mutilate my child when he tries to pet it. I have never been scared to hold a KITTEN in my life and I've held tons. Also, if you are unable to cover the costs then why did you keep them? Don't tell me I "cost you." You chose to take those cats into your home. You chose to post an ad that stated you would be getting them spayed/neutered on Tuesday. You were going to get it done whether I showed up at your door or not.

Anyway, like I said...I'm in no way thoughtless. There's a check in the mail for $50.

Carly

Yah, I'm sending her money...to prove a point. Why are cat lady's so cranky all the time?????

Green thumb?

I definitely don't have one, but Nick does (minus the Deet incident). He insisted we by the already growing tomato plants, but I assured him it be way more exciting to grow them starting from scratch. So far they're looking great!

My Basil is also looking awesome.

Our other plants are still recovering from Nick's Deet experiment (the one I told him was a BAD idea). I'm still growing sweet potatoes, green onion (we've already eaten some), and pineapple.

Yesterday, Nick came home with some beautiful carnations. I'm not really a fan of getting expensive flowers, or expensive anythings for that matter, so these were much appreciated. I prefer a bunch of $5 carnations over a bouquet of $75 roses any day.

I am FRIED.

I should have taken a picture of my sunburn yesterday. I put aloe on last night before going to bed so it looks a whole lot better.

We left early yesterday morning to attend a drifting event in Myrtle Beach. For me, the drive there was the most exciting part. It was awesome driving along side so many sick cars. Once Nick's car is out of the shop (hopefully for the last time this year) I'm determined to learn it so I can drive it to the next meet.

It was HOT when we got there and only continued to get hotter. I put sunscreen on both Pieter and myself, but the sun was brutal. I put Pieter in his stroller for most of it to keep the sun off of him. He ended up getting a bit cranky, but once the cars started he couldn't stop watching.

After a couple hours of drifting, we (our new friends Sarah and Jay) headed to Myrtle Beach. We grabbed some lunch and headed to the water. They all went in while I sat back and took some pictures. I knew I needed to get out of the sun ASAP. We only stayed for 30 minutes.

Here's a few photos.

My poor little kitty...and other things...

It's obvious the people I got Bingo from didn't take good care of him or his siblings. I noticed he was pretty small when she held them both up (the 3rd one had already been taken). I chose Bingo because the other male looked more sickly. Bingo just looked underfed. He's been in our home for a little over 2 weeks now and eats like a freakin' horse. He gets a bit angry if you try to touch him while he's eating...something I've only seen dogs do.

Anyway, the vet was surprised by how small he was after I told him the woman said he was about 8 or 9 weeks old. He weighed him, then took him to the back and put him on a gram scale. Bingo is 1.4 pounds and is apparently only 5.5 to 6 weeks old now. Meaning he was only 4 weeks old when that lady gave him to me. How horrible to take a baby away from his mom so early. They're typically weened between 8 and 12 weeks.

He had his shots, was dewormed, and has to go back in 3 weeks for a booster. He's completely litter box trained (as of 2 days ago), and completely healthy other than the worms.

In other news, my parents start their trek to California on Monday. I'm glad they're driving only 6 hours a day. I'm jealous for two reasons, 1. they get to go back to Monterey and 2. they get to see Candice. Nick asks me why I don't talk to her very much and my answer (and it's 100% truthful) is it makes it easier. It's hard not seeing your family, especially a twin. Nick and I have decided we will for sure be visiting her again now that we're on East Coast.

Nick's mom canceled her trip here. I'm a bit relieved. She intimidates the shit out of me. I made her son move across the country. I took her baby away and have made him an insta-dad. I understand she's only looking out for her son, but her son is now 27 and made the decision on his own to move across the country. My motivation to potty train Pieter before 3? Nick's mom. I was apparently lazy and he should have/could have been potty trained the second he was able to sit up...she didn't say this directly but it was 100% implied by her and Nick. It's a Russian thing for sure. I wanted to make sure he was out of diapers by the time she came to visit and I accomplished that. He doesn't even wear pull-ups anymore. I'm not only proud of my son, I'm mother fucking proud of myself for those HOURS AND HOURS I spent in the bathroom reading books and watching movies just to get him to poop in the potty.

I'm going to end this here with a picture of my little man swimming. He's gotten really good!

Drinkin' my wine...

I just made yummy turkey burgers and baked potatoes for Nick and I. Pieter's a bit picky so I whipped up a turkey hot dog with green beans. My mom talked him into eating his green beans by showing him how tasty they are dipped in ketchup.

Pieter's sitting next to me watching Blue's Clues on our new flat screen tv Nick bought from Costco, Nick's working on my busted iPhone in the bedroom, I'm sippin' my wine, and Bingo is sleeping in his new hiding spot (behind the tv). I wish I could say my life is perfect, and I'm sure there are millions who would take my spot in a second. I need just a few things to make this the life I want....here's my list.

1) Live in driving distance of my folks.
2) Go back to school.
3) Get a GOOD job.
4) Make some freakin' friends.

I just signed up for a MOM'S group and I'm hoping it'll help in the friend department. I find it's hard to have friends that don't have children. They don't quite understand why I can't just get up and go. Going out is like a week long process for me. Luckily I found myself an awesome babysitter, but I still have huge issues leaving my son with someone.

Side Note: Joe, the guy who took over for Steve on Blue's Clues, is a moron. I understand "Steve" has a drug problem...and who wouldn't playing this role? I'd for sure have to take a few puffs of the reef to play that character. I'm not a fan of the replacement.

Anyway, I'm going to put the man down for bed in a few minutes, assuming this storm ends in the next 45 minutes. I'm hoping to watch the movie I rented afterwards and then get some much needed sleep. I was up way to freakin' late last night.

2:52am

Awake because my mouth is sore. I had my first of 3 cavaties re-filled today. He numbed me up good...but I'm about 95% sure I have bruising inside my mouth from those shots.

Anyway, here's a video of my little man with his first balloon :-) I can't believe he'll be 3 next month!

Tired.

I'm both mentally and physically drained. We visited my parents in Florida for the 4th and it went by way too fast. Pieter and Nick had a great time, both got some great sleep and some awesome Swedish pancakes that I made. I didn't get to enjoy myself as much as I would have liked to. I didn't get much sleep and all I could do was think about how my parents will no longer be a 6 hour drive from me. I cried on the 4th of July on the way to get fireworks in Cocoa Beach. I wanted to blame Nick for my tears, but I couldn't so I just hid them as much as possible.

We set off $80 worth of fireworks in the front. Nick and I lit them all while my mom and Pieter watched. My dad and Alexis didn't seem interested and sat in the house. We set ours off early because the people behind my parents house put on a show every year. It was better than the show in Monterey by far. We had bits and pieces of fireworks dropping into the backyard. Unfortunately, I couldn't put Pieter down till about midnight because they were so damn loud. I was hoping to spend the last night in Florida talking with my mom, but Nick had mixed her a strong drink and she was in bed by 11:30. I was pretty upset about it.

I don't normally post about my feelings, but I think I'm going to start. Nick and I had a fight last night and I've decided I have anger issues. I take after my father in almost every aspect of my life. I can't calm down, little things piss me the fuck off...especially irritating people who say the word "want" every five seconds, money stresses me out to no end, and I hate showing affection. The only person I show affection to is my son. I don't want him to be like me or my dad.

Anyway, leaving was the hardest thing I've done in a while. My mom TRIED to not cry but she broke down because she knew I was going to. I hugged her and was reminded how short she was and just started sobbing. What most people don't realize is she was my only friend when I was in Florida for 6 months. I didn't hang out with anyone but her and Pieter. My dad was upset but instead of crying or giving me a real hug (he just gave me one of those pat on the back type hugs) he said, "Thanks! I just worked my ass off to get back to Monterey and now you guys are in South Carolina." I cried in the car, Pieter cried in the car, Nick drove and tried to console me. We drove to Alexis's work to say goodbye and she broke down when Pieter told her he wanted to go back to Grandma's house. We took Pieter to the bathroom and said our goodbyes to Alexis's co-workers. Pieter gave Alexis one last squeeze and then he started sobbing. He cried for a good 30 minutes begging Nick to go back to Grandma's.

I know it's not like we're never going to see them again, but it sucks! I want to be in Monterey. I want Pieter to grow up with his grandparents, because I didn't get to. I barely knew/know them. I'm hoping we can go back to CA soon. I don't think I can take much more of this state. It's too fucking hot, too fucking boring, and I'm just fucking over it.

Bingo

I've been missing my Lucy Girl for a while now. She is by far one of the best cats I've ever had. Unfortunately I wasn't able to bring her with me when I moved from CA to FL, so she stayed back with Pieter's God parents...Trish and Jere.

Anyway, I've been bugging Nick for a while to get a kitten for both Pieter and I. It's the perfect time seeing as how we're home all day so there's always someone around to watch him. He's super tiny (7 weeks) and full of energy. However, when we got him it was obvious he had been neglected.

I was searching Craigslist and came across a very brief ad for free kittens. I emailed the poster and got a response within seconds. She sent me the address so I google mapped it and was satisfied with the street view. When we got to the house it was completely trashed. She had mentioned in her ad that they were moving, but this was just disgusting. My first thought was to keep on driving, but I had to check the kittens out first. We walked around one of the trashiest yards I have ever seen. There was trash everywhere and 2 broken down cars. I knocked on the door and was greeted by a 40 year old woman wearing 15 year old clothing that was covered in dirt and grime. Following her was a fat guy with a cig in his mouth and no shirt on. He said nothing the entire time, just stared. She had 2 kittens in her hands and was explaining that they weren't potty trained. Apparently she had only been to the house a few times and was just feeding them when she had the chance. One of the kittens was obviously sick with something so I chose Bingo and we headed off. The whole transaction took 5 minutes, and I felt like I was truly rescuing a cat.

The car ride home was horrible. He was freaking out the whole time and I noticed he had fleas all over him. He seemed a bit dehydrated and hungry so we stopped at Petsmart on the way home. Bingo ate like a pig and drank an incredible amount of water. I got a bit nervous because he didn't pee/poop for almost an entire day, but when he did it was solid and healthy (no worms). He'll be getting his shots when we get back from Florida. I've given him 2 baths now and the fleas are slowly disappearing and he seems to be a much healthier kitty. He LOVES chasing Pieter around the house and sleeping on Nick's lap. Right now he's asleep on mine :-) Here's a new picture of our little family.

I look disgusting lol...here's one I like...although Pieter looks super sad.
