I just made yummy turkey burgers and baked potatoes for Nick and I. Pieter's a bit picky so I whipped up a turkey hot dog with green beans. My mom talked him into eating his green beans by showing him how tasty they are dipped in ketchup.
Pieter's sitting next to me watching Blue's Clues on our new flat screen tv Nick bought from Costco, Nick's working on my busted iPhone in the bedroom, I'm sippin' my wine, and Bingo is sleeping in his new hiding spot (behind the tv). I wish I could say my life is perfect, and I'm sure there are millions who would take my spot in a second. I need just a few things to make this the life I want....here's my list.
1) Live in driving distance of my folks.
2) Go back to school.
3) Get a GOOD job.
4) Make some freakin' friends.
I just signed up for a MOM'S group and I'm hoping it'll help in the friend department. I find it's hard to have friends that don't have children. They don't quite understand why I can't just get up and go. Going out is like a week long process for me. Luckily I found myself an awesome babysitter, but I still have huge issues leaving my son with someone.
Side Note: Joe, the guy who took over for Steve on Blue's Clues, is a moron. I understand "Steve" has a drug problem...and who wouldn't playing this role? I'd for sure have to take a few puffs of the reef to play that character. I'm not a fan of the replacement.
Anyway, I'm going to put the man down for bed in a few minutes, assuming this storm ends in the next 45 minutes. I'm hoping to watch the movie I rented afterwards and then get some much needed sleep. I was up way to freakin' late last night.
