Busy weekend.

I haven't really been in the blog writing mood the past few days. We spent a lot of time outside the apartment this weekend . Saturday we woke up and went straight to the pool at 9am. Right after we went to Bee City to pet some animals and have a cheap, but yummy lunch. Instead of going straight home we decided to make another visit to the Mangolia Gardens and Swamp. I've decided I LOVE that place. We walked around for about an hour and I got some great pictures. Following that we had Leslie come over to watch Pieter while Nick and I met up with Sarah and Jason for dinner and a movie.

We had a few drinks prior to dinner and walked over to Ruby Tuesdays. Dinner was good and I washed it down with a weak Long Island Iced Tea. We finished and walked over to the theater to see Bruno. Wasn't a fan so I left mid movie. It's nice living so close to everything. Leaving early gave me a chance to talk to Leslie some, so that was nice.

Yesterday we went to check out Sullivan's Island and hung out at the beach for a few hours. It was a pretty nice beach but a bit of a drive from the house. Pieter loved it as usual, me not so much. I get a bit stressed out with Pieter and the ocean...he doesn't realize he can't swim. We left around 1ish and headed to the grocery store to get some food for the BBQ we had last night.

Last night was probably the most fun I've had since moving here. Dinner was awesome. Both Nick and Jay made ribs...Nick's were marinated for a day and BBQ'd and Jay's were cooked super slow in the oven. Both were really good. Jay also made hush puppies for the first time and did a pretty good job. Pieter's new friend came down and entertained him the entire time (so I was able to relax a bit). Jay and Sarah came over to play some video games afterwards so Pieter didn't go to bed till 10:30 last night. My little man slept an entire 12 hours...I think this weekend knocked him out :-)
