Sunday :-)

I made a list of the pictures I planned on putting in the last blog, but then I decided these 2 should have a blog to themselves. Nick took these and I readjusted them because they weren't zoomed in enough for me. I'd like to point out before uploading them, that I have the most handsome and loving little man EVER.

He can be completely dedicated to what he's doing whether it be chasing little girls at the park yelling at them that they're his "friend!" or just squirting bugs with his new Superman water gun (we got for a dolla, holla!), but no matter how busy, if I ask for a kiss he ALWAYS runs over to place a fat one on my face. Occasionally I get a squeeze like this one to go with it. :-)

I'd have to say Pieter's been doing a bit better than I imagined with the potty training. He seriously hasn't peed in his pants in 4 days. We've taken him out and about and he's handled it well. He tells me sometimes when he has to go "pee pee" and only "pee pee". He went 2 days again without pooping and I knew he had to go SOOOOO badly. Every time he walked he would slouch over. Nick or I would ask if he needed to go and he, being my child...meaning he's a stubborn ass like yours truly...confidently said no. Anywho, he pooped today thanks to a baby enema. Definitely NOT something I like doing, but he had gone so long holding it in he was crying at even the thought of pooping. It hurt him so bad to go it made me feel terrible, however, half way through it he was no longer screaming in pain. It was more of a tearful "I did it myself mommy!!!! Can I have ice cream???" With no ice cream on hand, I let him eat an "orangin" popsicle.

I think Pieter knows when Nick is home in the mornings. When he goes to work Pieter sleeps in till, oh I'd say 9ish. When Nick doesn't have to work he's up at 7. This morning he came in begging to watch Thomas the Train and I had to deny him. Instead I brought him back in his room and put him back in his bed, I laid on the floor and we both slept till 10:30. Well, I did. I woke up to Pieter putting on a fashion show for me. He was wearing a Samuel Adams shirt inside out, my underwear, and his vans on the wrong feet. Oh GOD, how I wish I had had my camera...and glasses for that matter. I think Nick was a bit relieved to sleep in a bit, and I'm really excited Pieter loves his new room including the easy access to both of our wardrobes (my child has 10x's more clothes than I do). Nick, well...we just won't go there...let's just say he has his own closet.

We drove to Charleston again today to get my glasses fixed at Costco. Homegirl popped my lenses into my new frames (the one's Nick found online for me bc they no longer carry them at Costco) within 30 seconds. Nick and I both thought we would have been able to do it ourselves....we were so wrong. It's nice not having to worry about my left lens popping out at random times. I was scared to venture out alone worrying it would pop out and I wouldn't be able to see where it went, but now it's all good :-)

Pieter went to bed wonderfully for me tonight giving me a few hours to read another blog...one that I can't stop reading. My friend Allison mentioned it in her blog so I ofcourse clicked the link and have been glued. Maddy was a beautiful girl, and reading her mother's blogs makes me appreciate every second I get with my little man.

Anyway, off to bed!
