Nick has accepted a 1 year position here in South Carolina. I'm a little heart broken because I was so excited about the possibility of being closer to my family and friends. Oh well, there's always a flight.
So, Pieter worked his first job a few days ago. My neighbor needed assistance bringing some books up from her car. Pieter did what he could and brought up 1 book at a time. He was sooo damn proud himself. My neighbor was gracious enough and handed him a $5 bill. I plan on taking him to Target today to let him pick out a toy with his earnings.
Pieter's been somewhat of a handful the past month or so, or maybe I'm just noticing it more because I'm trying to take care of him, clean house, and do my homework. He's been a little more than overwhelming. He's got a massive amount of energy and no where to release it, but in this cramped apartment. Now that we know we're going to be here a solid year, I WILL be getting him into school and a sport or 2. Although the frustration is more abundant, he tends to lighten up the mood by doing something absolutely ridiculous. Yesterday I was working on my essay and was 2 seconds away from a total meltdown when Pieter came out like this
