I hate to say I'm depressed. I'm just not a depressed person. I think I'm just over the fact that I don't have my friends around me. I enjoyed living with my roommates because there was always something going on, and if there wasn't, at least there was always someone to talk to. I love my son to no end but there are times where I need to hang out with someone who doesn't wear pull-ups.
I miss my family. It was nice visiting this past weekend and I wish we could have stayed a bit longer. I'm not sure what happened on the drive home but I got extremely upset and cried (something I don't typically do in the car or in front of Pieter). Something, that I shall not mention, sparked this outburst and I got so worked up I felt like throwing up. I do have to say that it had to be caused by a number of factors, one of them being the lack of sleep I've had since I've moved here. The other few are not worth mentioning in here because I'm sure it'll just cause a fight.
Anyway, we got the couch yesterday. We went to pick it up and were immediately thrown off by what the house looked like. We went in anyway and although the house smelled sorta musty the couch was in pretty decent condition. It's a cloth couch and from Ashley Furniture. She sold it to us for $170 (that included the delivery fee of $20.00). I thought we got a pretty good deal, but only after we cleaned the ever loving shiz out of it. Nick rented a steam cleaner and spent an hour and a half cleaning the entire thing. I threw the pillow and seat covers in the washer and sprayed the hell out of the foam with orange febreeze. I'd have to say for $170 we got a pretty nice couch. Now all we need a cable/satellite and we'll have a reason to sit on it. Even now, I'm sitting on the floor.
There really isn't any other exciting news...oh! we've started growing a few things on our deck. When we left on Saturday they looked like this:

And when we got back on Monday they looked like this:
We're growing sweet potatoes, tomatoes, green onion, and basil. I should take a pic of them today, but I'm too lazy. The green onion is doubled since Monday and the basil is getting taller. Nick's also attempting to grow pineapple...we'll see how that goes ;-)
