So, Alexis suggested we go fishing at 5:30. I wasn't down for it because I thought Pieter would act up. I brought his stroller and helped Alexis load the car. Pieter brought his new bug/fish catching net that we got for a dolla (holla!) at Target. He was SOOO excited to go.
We got to the recreation store and bought some dead frozen shrimp, I put Pieter in his stroller and we headed to the water. I assumed Alexis was at least an intermediate fisher because I mean, duh, her job involves all water sports. She didn't even know how to cast out. I caught nothing....she caught nothing but a tangled heap of line...and Pieter, well he was awesome and sat there holding his fishing net waiting for mommy to hook it up.
I came up with a brilliant plan because I felt so bad that Pieter didn't get to use his net. We pulled a few of the bait catching buckets up and lucky for us one of them contained a tiny fish :-) We put it in his net...and he was both excited and scared (more scared).
