Pieter was lucky this year and got to celebrate his 3rd birthday twice. We took him to Chucky Cheeses on his request. For some reason that place was nothing like I remembered, but than again the last time I had gone was like 10 years ago. Pieter loved it and I threw down on the basketball game. Pieter walked around proudly wearing his Chucky Cheese birthday hat Danielle and Josh bought him.
For his second party our neighbor hand made a Spongebob cake for Pieter. It turned out pretty good (the look not the taste). She used her homemade frosting that tasted like she had dumped and entire container of Almond Extract into. Everyone at the party ate it, but I'm pretty sure regretted it after haha! Pieter didn't even like it so he put his napkins on top of it and said it was going "night night."The past 2 weeks have been exciting not only with Pieter turning 3 but because we just found out Danielle and Josh are having a baby :-) You can read her story here. She ws complaining about her boobs hurting so I sorta knew and told her to take a preggo test. When it came up positive I was screaming and shaking and way too excited I think. It was nice to celebrate the news with a couple that actually loves each other :-) Of course the idea of me having another baby immediately entered my mind. How exciting would that be for Nick and I? I brought up the topic with Nick and as usual got shot down. I'm not asking for a child right this second, duh....but I'd like to have one before I turn 30. I'm about 95% sure Nick will never be ready, but he needs to stop suggesting the idea when he's drunk because it's for sure getting my hopes up.
Anyway, this past Saturday Nick and I joined our neighbor Penny for a night out on the town. I was dreading it the second she asked but I'm too nice to say no. We headed to Charleston a little later then I would have liked to. Her neice agreed to watch Pieter, but I wasn't all that comfortable with that. She was in a pissy mood and throwing the f-bomb out any chance she got. Luckily Danielle suggested she get him and did so about an hour after we left. I finally was able to enjoy myself. We left Charleston and ended up at a bar here in Summerville. I liked the place because everyone was super friendly. Nick hated it because he hates everything that's not his idea. "Too many hicks." Eh, we're in the South...wtf do you expect right?
Nick hasn't been feeling so hot this past week. His mother and I talked him into visiting a Dr. I went with him because he was nervous and the Dr. was a bit concerned about a swollen lymph node in his tummy. Three viles of blood were drawn and a pee test taken, and we should find out the results either today or tomorrow. I'm hoping it's nothing.
I have so many pictures to share but don't have my computer sooooo too bad ;-)
