So we've now been here for a week today...and I'd have to say it's been pretty eventful so far. We've had some fun weather and the building next to ours was hit by lightening. We also had quarter sized hail. It went from 87 degrees to 63 within minutes.
Nick and I did a bit of exploring for the first couple days before he started work. We visited Mt. Pleasant. The area reminds me of Pacific Grove, but with beautiful old plantation homes. We attempted to find a beach, but we failed and plan on searching this weekend. We made a trip to Ikea in North Carolina on Saturday. It wasn't a bad drive, but Ikea reminded me just how little my car is because we weren't able to get much of anything.
Nick and I have been sleeping on the floor...I'm not a fan haha. Nick just bought us a bed from Overstock/Walmart and I'm hoping it gets here soon! Pieter's been sleeping awesomly in his big boy bed. He goes down at about 8:30pm and wakes up at about 8:30am...it's nice to have some alone time.
